As a daughter, buying for dads can be somewhat challenging because you just really never know what to get. In general, I’ve been starting to write notes in my phone for gift ideas when they come to me or when the other person mentions something that they want, for easy reference later on.
Another great way to find gifts is to look up their wish list on Amazon using their email address. If they don’t have a wish list, you should encourage them to start one to make your life easier.
That being said, My Dad’s birthday is today, so I wanted to share a few gift ideas I had and the one I ultimately decided to go with.
Tasty Gift – Exotic Meats Man Crate: This is perfect if you have to send a gift because it comes in a an actual sealed wooden crate with a crowbar, with high-quality goods inside. Who wouldn’t want that?!
Practical Gift – Fogless Shower Mirror: a perfect gift for dads who have to shave regularly. By simply filling the back of the mirror with hot shower water, it keeps the mirror fogless.
Convenient Gift – Amazon Gift Card: I typically don’t like buying gift cards because it seems so impersonal, however, it would be nice for a dad to have because then he can buy little gadgets, tools, and so on on his wish list.
Personal Gift – Find a nice wooden picture frame and put your favorite picture with your dad in it. Engrave the back of the wooden frame with a sweet “love you” note to add a personal touch. An engraver is a great tool to add to your crafting kit for things like this.
Nostalgic Gift – Spend the day having fun like you always used to with your dad when you were a kid. For me, some of my favorite memories are getting pizza and watching movies with him, my brother and sister. Good times! This is ultimately what I decided to do for his birthday, adding the amazon gift card and his favorite cake, of course :). On the list of movies to watch: A Good Day to Die Hard.
What are your favorite ways to gift your dad?
